“Healthy” is the new mantra. Also the word (healthy) acts as a major factor to attract the crowd. Human race is running at a pace that they forget to think or do the best for themselves. Cooking all three meals at home for consecutive days is hardly possible with the work life we are exposed to. So dining outside is unavoidable. With all the preservatives and artificial colors and chemicals, anything we consume isn’t going to help us by any means.

A balanced life comes out from a proper balance in our food habits, lifestyle, physical activities, etc. As consciousness towards health is taking upper hand, even the restaurants or food joints have started to serve the best to enrich their customer health. Among the healthy food options, salads are handy as it is easy to prepare, eat as well adds less calories. Even with many positives, the one thing a fast-food lover like me hates is the taste. How would it be if all those greens and raw veggies or fruits are made to taste good? Tremendous, wouldn’t it! That’s how happy I felt when I ate and enjoyed the taste of a salad at Re:Store.

Fresh and homemade salads and desserts is what ‘Re:Store’ is about. When called for a tasting session, it was only the health part that brought me closer to them has my calorie cut down plan is on:-D. They have a good number of salads and desserts; so you shall not be bored atleast for a while. I loved all the three salads and desserts I happened to taste.

The ‘Thinnai Salad’ and ‘Mexican Salad’ were the best. I loved the brilliant combination of ingredients in Thinnai salad that tickle your senses and let you to enjoy a fusion of sweet, acidic, salty and bitter flavors. The Mexican salad resembled Masala Kadalai (Groundnut) for me. The addition of Red Kidney bean and corn makes you fall in love with it. The Asian Salad was good but reducing the tanginess in salad dressing would have made them better for me. But yeah, the salad is packed beautifully with nuts and dressing in separate container so the salad doesn’t turn soggy. Mix them or neglect them as per your taste buds while eating.

Now for the desserts, the Gluten Free Chocolate cake is Killer. You shall not know they are gluten free until they explicitly mention. The Almond and Pistachio cakes would be a perfect complement for your cup of tea. Using grounded (almond/pistachio) nuts in the cake mixture bumps up the taste. The cake price ranges from Rs.1400 – Rs.1800 approx. per KG. Also, their salads are priced at Rs.250 and Rs.350. The price is expensive so not a meal for every day but the quality of ingredients and the taste along with health quotient vouches for the price.

Breaking Down Points

Delivery: They deliver only around T.Nagar and Saidapet for now and planning to expand; place your orders a day before to get prompt delivery.

Food Variety: Positive. All vegetarian, the varieties are different from the usual salads I have tasted.

Taste: Positive. This shall be the sole reason to love their food.

Packing: Positive. Impeccable packing that wouldn’t let the salad turn soggy and lets you consume anytime you wish after the delivery.

Quality and Quantity: Good. The ingredients are fresh and hand-picked every day. The quantity shall be perfect for one person for a meal.

Pricing: NA. Expensive. Though I like the taste, I shall not go back ordering often because of the price.

So my Verdict!

Re:Store, promises to restore your health, your appetite, your (energetic) meal and a refreshing day. With major focus on health, it would be high-time we look-out for food options that aren’t just tasty. But the diet or health plans needn’t be boring. So try to experiment their tasty yet healthy meal options.
